Contest Format
The contest is for the best shod hunter in the three hunter classes. Horses had to jump a show jumping round and then the clears went through to the conformation section, at which point the feet were judged by the winning farrier from the previous year.
Adele Baldwin’s Steel Clover was judged the winner at the Best Shod Hunter competition at Myerscough College on the 27th March.
Approximately 25 horses made it to the conformation section (see right) where the two horses shod by Paul Conway were chosen as the best, with Karen Scott’s Bentley as runner up.
Paul will now be asked to judge the contest in 2011.
